D and Agnes, above left, garden on the Scarcroft site and have attended and helped out at Association events. For them, it’s great to be part of something which they see makes such a diiference to the neighbourhood. Annie and Mike, above right, have returned to York for their retirement and enjoy being part of the Association both for the access it gives them to gardening supplies and for the connections it gives them to other people with the same interest.
Sally, above left, has her plot on Hospital Fields. Gardening and garden design are central to her life (see www.yorkshiregardendesigner.co.uk) with her allotment being a big part of that. She’s a regular user of the shop on Scarcroft Road. Maria and Angela, above right, from Hospital Fields are new to allotment gardening and to the Association. They are both looking forward to using the shop and to picking up tips from other members.
